This bracket allows you to use a traditional bottom mount isolator with the later side mount Pontiac Solstice / Saturn Sky AR5 Transmission.
The 2007 and newer Solstice/Sky transmission bolted to a torque tube that couples it directly to the rear axle housing. There is no transmission crossmember or rubber mount on the bottom of the tailhousing. When using these transmissions in another vehicle that uses a traditional crossmember mounting setup things get difficult, which is why this version of the AR5 can often be found much cheaper than the earlier bottom mount ones. This bracket allows you to use a stock crossmember mounted rubber isolator or other aftermarket mount for the earlier transmissions. The mount holes are slotted for 1" of front to back adjustment, and the large flat base can easily be drilled for other mounts if so desired.
